The graduation ceremony of our Faculty for the 2024–2025 academic year was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere on May 31, 2025, at the July 15 Martyrs Conference Hall. The ceremony drew great interest from our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz and Prof. Dr. İsmail Rakıp Karaş, along with his wife Saliha Nazan Karaş, as well as our academic and administrative staff, graduating students, and their families.
The ceremony began with the opening speech by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Gökoğlu. In his speech, he thanked the families for their efforts in supporting the students to reach this day, the academic staff for their dedicated work in educating them, and all graduates, wishing them continued success throughout their lives. Prof. Dr. Gökoğlu also noted that our Faculty, one of the oldest and most established faculties of our University, is graduating its 14th cohort this year. He emphasized that the Faculty of Science has always prioritized providing students with the highest quality education through academic programs shaped by an open-minded, flexible, and visionary approach.

In his speech at the ceremony, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Rakıp Karaş greeted the families present in the hall who came to share in the graduates’ joy. He stated that Karabük University graduates begin their professional lives several steps ahead of their peers. Emphasizing that this advantage stems from the university’s dynamic structure, strong academic staff, and high-quality education, Prof. Dr. Karaş extended his best wishes for success and a prosperous future to all graduates.
In his speech, the faculty valedictorian Maaz El Zaghloul shared his academic journey and personal story, saying: “I was a child who grew up in the shadow of war and started life at a disadvantage. But amid these hardships, I had a dream — to become a good chemist — and today, I am proud to have achieved that goal.”

As part of the program, certificates of achievement were presented to the students who ranked first, second, and third in their departments and in the faculty, as well as to our graduates. The ceremony concluded with the joyful tossing of graduation caps into the air.

We congratulate our new graduates and wish them success, health, and happiness in this new chapter of their lives.
